Photos: Turkey Season at Little Fruit Farm Montessori
With Thanksgiving nearly upon us, the children have been busy with a multi-step art project creating their own turkey’s. This gallery shows them adding detail on their turkey with black paint. Prior to this they painted construction paper brown, using a brown paint they each created by mixing together red, yellow and blue. This provided a perfect opportunity for a lesson on primary colors, as they noticed that each other’s brown turned out a little differently. They then used the brown paper to cut out the different shapes for their turkey, and glued those shapes to a piece of paper and painted on the gobbler. You can see close ups of the final results on our portfolio, and on our Facebook page.
